aois21 had a great time at two day event at GMU Campus
We have often enjoyed our trips to various book fairs and other functions, and past trips to Richmond for Comicon have been included, but this time was different. This time Comicon came to us, just 20 minutes away, on the campus of George Mason University.
It was quite an experience as we set up for the two day event. We had some common company as several of our surrounding vendors were neighbors from past Comicons in Richmond. aois21 Creative James D. King joined us for Saturday and the HIVE series was the featured bundle, selling copies of all three books in the series.
Though we did not accomplish all we had hoped, battery issues kept us for interviewing attendees for the Cosplay video series or for Publish Me!, we still had a great time! Our sales were fantastic. The people we had a chance to meet and talk to were interesting, engaged, and enthusiastic. As expected, the Cosplay was incredible, and Harley Quinn stole our candy dish at least twice.
This concludes our spring touring season, having taken us to Falls Church, DC, Kensington, Gaithersburg, and now Fairfax. We'll be off for the next couple months before picking up again in the fall, returning to Frostburg, MD, and Charlottesville, VA, and more to come!
